The primary focus is to espouse the virtues of good beer to motivate key on- and off-premise accounts and distributor sales teams to feature good beer more often. Some of the components of this multi-faceted job include increasing distribution, displays, on- and off-premise features and promotions, staff trainings, POS (point-of-sale) management and leading the thought about good beer within the distributor and in the marketplace. The focus of the job is to work with distributors and key retailers to build Sierra Nevada’s business in the greater New York City area (preference will be given to qualified candidates currently residing in and familiar with the five boroughs of New York City). Consequently, experience working with distributors and suppliers is critical to success in this position. Requires computer knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (including ability to enter, retrieve, and interpret data in spreadsheets), ability to understand the market planning process, basic understanding and use of selling skills, public speaking skills, and the ability to express oneself in an articulate, succinct and professional manner. A minimum of 5 YEARS total beverage alcohol industry related experience required. A minimum 2-year college degree (or equivalent experience) required, 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience) preferred. Current certification at the CiceroneTM Certified Beer Server level one is preferred, but not required. Must be able to lift 35-pound cases, maneuver and place 163-lb kegs. This position a significant amount of night work, with approximately 1 nights/month overnight (some flying). The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and an exemplary driving record, supported by a 3-year motor-vehicle report. Description: Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, this mid-level Graphic Designer is an integral part of the Sierra Nevada Graphics team, and designs sales, marketing and company support materials for print mediums. The Graphic Designer will perform duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to: implementing designs for sales/marketing support tools including such items as banners, sell sheets, promotional items, calendars, brochures, posters, Gift Store support, and merchandise; working closely and collaborating with the Creative Services Manager to execute timing and resources for projects to complete on time and on budget; working closely with design team to apply company branding and guidelines to all graphics; interacting and working with vendors and printers; archiving and organizing printed artwork and press proofs.
